Three comedians in one show!!
Hometown native Kevin Cahak along with friends Mike Marvell and Rocky LaPorte will be hitting our grandstand stage to kick off our fair.
Rocky LaPorte’s appeal comes from his everyman, streetwise style of comedy. Delivering laughs in his trademark Brooklyn accent, he has become one of the most sought after comedians in the country, and he just recently appeared on the season 8 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing! Rocky received 5th place out of 10 contestants. A former Chicago truck driver and dock worker, Rocky has accumulated a slew of performances throughout his career, including being a featured comic on Showtime‘s The Godfathers of Comedy, a special starring five of America’s most hilarious Italian-American comics. On the big screen, he has been seen in two Tim Allen movies – Crazy on the Outside and The Shaggy Dog.
Mike Marvell has been doing comedy professionally for over 25 years, although he's been making people laugh his whole life. He told his guidance counselor in high school he wanted to be an engineer and she told him "With your grades? That's hilarious, you should be a comedian!" His comedy is based on growing up in Wisconsin... football, hunting, fishing, his family, and his wife and kids. He's performed at everything from churches to swinger clubs, grade schools to colleges, country clubs. to biker clubs, nursing homes to casinos (same thing). Instant likability, he reminds you of your crazy cousin, the guy next door, your brother-in-law. Even if you don't hire him you'll still want to hang out with him.
Because of Kevin's unique background, he is one of the most sought after comedians in the Midwest with material that relates well to all audiences both young and old. Kevin has made his network television debut working with Pauly Shore in “Pauly Shore Stands Alone” on Showtime, has multiple albums available on Spotify, Pandora, etc. and was also a finalist in the “Funniest Person in MN” and a semi-finalist in the national contest: "World Series of Comedy" in Las Vegas.
This show is rated pg-13.
